Looking in From The Outside ~ Que Sera, Sera

When you spy on your three cats while taking out the garbage.

Karson and Bat watching their crazy human taking out the trash and making crazy eyes.😂

Our Christmas lights, indoors and out are still up and I'm so happy they are. They warm our surroundings and the cats, of course, love sitting under the little indoor trees.

Maggie wondering if I lost it 😂

Throughout the years, after Christmas, I always take note of the lights left on far into the new year by people who like myself follow the tradition and I joke with my husband on what might be their reasons for leaving them on.
I, tend to leave a little Christmas up all year through because I just don't know... 'The future's not ours to see'.

I'm Still The Bad Guy😂

Be it Christmas or Halloween, I can't seem to never get enough in one day or a month, therefore, some of my favorite things will inevitably always be out on display to look at and enjoy night and day by all who live inside the walls of this home,  including the cats.

To me, the world outside looks the same but I know its a photograph that doesn't tell the entire story. I wonder if the cats know. I believe they do, just look into their eyes and they are talking to you.

A Bad Dream

The Old Cat and The Tough Old Bird

Karson, our church cat will be turning 16 years old this coming May 3rd, which makes him about 104 years old in humans years?

When I think of growing old, I think of a few quotes I read some time ago.
There's this one by Richard Gere

'Do not regret growing older, It's a privilege denied to many.' ~ Richard Gere

Appreciating old age and keeping healthy both in body and mind as best I can, these days I try to limit myself from news feeds and often escape to places where I can have happy thoughts. My husband, daughter and I have taken up the routine of tuning in every afternoon to Ricky Gervais's live Twitter videos, they make us laugh and that's a good thing.
It's wise to keep informed just so you know where you stand but too much information I have come to realize makes me not feel very good. Finding that happy place is necessary to keep one's sanity and avoid becoming increasingly depressed and sick.

A happy place for me is watching the old movie flicks. Maybe I can coax hubby and daughter to watch this one more time...lol

♥️ Three-quarters of a century-old and he is still an adorable pussycat.♥️

Josephine: Well, there they are. More millionaires than you can shake a stick at.
Sugar: I'll bet there isn't one under seventy-five.
Josephine: Seventy-five. That's three-quarters of a century. Makes a girl think.
Sugar: Let's hope they brought their grand-sons along.

Karson, his furry paw on my hand, love❣️😺

No matter your age, inside you are still young. Life in all it's imperfections is still beautiful. And the human spirit never dies. I think I can still work on becoming that tough old bird.

HOME, A SWEET, SAFE PLACE TO BE 🐱🐶🏡

KEEPING CALM IS A MATTER OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE AT THIS POINT IN TIME, IN ABIDING BY RULES AND IN WORKING TOGETHER IN HELPING EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY GIVING ALL THE AMMUNITION THAT'S NEEDED TO THE PEOPLE WORKING FOR US IN 🥼🩺 , IN GROCERY STORES, TRUCKERS, GARBAGE MEN, EVERYONE WHO IS DOING A VITAL JOB ON THE FRONT LINE IN FIGHTING THE VIRUS FOR ALL.

PLEASE, STAY HOME.
CHERISH FAMILY, AND ALL GOD'S CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL FOR THEY HAVE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR YOU AND YOU MUST REMEMBER THEY COUNT ON YOU, SO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM TOO.

 KEEP SAFE ♥️🙏

My little menagerie of collected animal statuettes from my country thrift store jaunts. Can you tell I'm old? ... lol

'I'm afraid I'm not very good with people. I'm alright with animals but people, I'm not very good with, I never have been.' ~ Doctor Dolittle played by Rex Harrison 1967

We are somewhat in the country and I am very happy about that but I always wanted to escape somewhere farther out, like forever, and spending time with a good book now allows me to be there. Some time ago I read a story by James Herriot, 'The Card Above the Bed'. It told the story of an elderly lady fearing she never would be with her pets in heaven. James Herriot replied, 'Well, I don't believe it. I patted the hand which still grasped mine. If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. You've nothing to worry about there.'
...' Oh, I hope you're right.'

Three Cats, A Dog, and A Camera When my daughter, Emma opened her Instagram account she named it 'Three Cats, A Dog, and A Camera' Grace was still with us.

The above picture of our Grace was taken back on Aug 14/ 2013 The bottle of Cataroma was a toy M bought for Grace so not making fun of the virus just interesting.

“You think dogs will not be in heaven? I tell you, they will be there long before any of us.” Robert Louis Stevenson

To me, my past is a sweet, safe place to be, and through the medium of this book I shall spend a little time there now and then.' ~ James Herriot

So, I will read a few good books, practice a little piano, paint, stay connected by writing posts, even with my terrible, terrible grammar and some time soon take that much-needed walk in the countryside and pick pussy willows I saw yesterday. It's the time!

Oh and if you have not seen this video of Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger then now would be a good time.

Treating animals like people is no madness or disgrace'.
~ Doctor Dolittle 1967

Time is never wasted with cats or with your pets.

So on that note, I think I'll play a little hide and seek with Bat.

Stay safe and remember ... Help our front line responders risking their lives for ours. Stay Home!!!♥️🙏 🤗 🐱🐶

My Dark Romance 🖤

A cat named Bat and a little red wine to keep my sanity while @home. In all seriousness, I'm not much of a drinker but I do enjoy a little red wine with pasta or gnocchi, part of being Italian. KEEP SAFE 🙏♥️

Home, for the moment, is our refuge...Rosebud🌹

The news this morning...stay at home.
Its a broken record on repeat, people sick of hearing it but the truth is its good advice for everyone.
We are not the bird in a cage or the boy in the bubble we have the freedom to take a walk whenever the need should arise.

I wrote a post ~ Rosebud 🌹 over a year ago when my husband and I were thinking of early retirement.
Looking back now, I see we made the right choice.

"Close your eyes. Listen, Nothing’s missing." Maxime Lagacé

Spring 🌱 fogging this morning, all is calm and quiet, the cats are sleeping, just the way I like it and perfect to enjoy some beautiful music with the earmuffs on ☺️....still listening to this gorgeous piano piece.

Mariage d'Amour written by Paul de Senneville

known as "Chopin's Spring Waltz" which is incorrectly titled.

Spring Waltz 🌱

“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature-the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter” ~ Rachel Carson

the above quote for March reads:

"If children at school can be made to understand

how it is just to be humane even to what we term inferior animals, it will do much to give them a higher tone and character through life."

 ~ John Bright

March break, a good time to learn more about nature

The cats found something to do

Like playing pretend and wishing that bird was not just a toy.

First day of spring

~ Hal Borland

🍃🍃🍃But the weather forecast doesn't promise it's arrival any time soon.

So, on that note, I'll take from the cats on what to do, maybe take out my toys and paint a faraway place where spring is already in bloom.

PINK PANTHER ~ MEGLIO STASERA 🇮🇹🐱🍀🇨🇦 ♥️🙏

Reminiscing at the moment...

When M took a picture of Bat in the pink kitty cat hat and named it Pink Panther it took me back to the 1963 movie Pink Panther and Fran Jefferies singing Meglio Stasera in the Ski Chalet MIRAMONTI in Cortina D'ampezzo in the province of Belluno.

My dad was born there as most of the Livinal family. On my mother's side, Sposaro's family comes from Genova, Naples, and Calabria. Pretty much covering a good part of Italy. Most of our family lives in northern Italy. So, because today it is what it is, I am sharing this post with everyone. A Pink Panther Gatto and this beautiful Italian song to makes things a little more cheery.🇮🇹 🐱🍀🇨🇦♥️🙏

And for Caturday, a Pink Panther who now has claimed the gothic chair for his own with the soft black velvet pillow which has you can see he almost disappears if not for his pink hat. lol

ForbinColossus Thanks for uploading this wonderful video, brings much joy!

The music of Henry Mancini that added the magic to the 1963 film, The Pink Panther. "Meglio Statsera" (Italian for It Had Better Be Tonight), Sung by Fran Jeffries. Lyrics by Franco Migliacci:

Meglio stasera, che domani o mai
Domani chi lo sa, quel che sara

Non mi dire d'aspettare
Il domani che verra
E una porta che tu chiudi
Fra me e te

Se stasera ti decidi
A rispondermi di si,
I domani che verrano
Li dedico solo a te
Megglio stasera, che domani o mai
Domani chi lo sa, quel che sara
Nasce il giorno e il giorno muore,
E la notte portera

L'incertezza del domani,
Chissa, chissa

Li dedico solo a te

Megglio stasera, che domani o mai
Domani chi lo sa, quel che sara

English Translation (Let me know if this is wrong, please):

Better tonight, than tomorrow or never Tomorrow who knows what will be?

Don't tell me to wait for tomorrow to be it's a door that you're closing between you and me if you decide tonight to answer me with a yes the tomorrows that will come I'll devote them only to you. Better tonight, than tomorrow or never Tomorrow who knows what will be? The day was born and the day dies, and the night will bring the uncertainty of tomorrow Who knows, who knows? Just a single enticement can make you unrest; it's a flea on the sheet that won't let you sleep Better tonight, than tomorrow or never Tomorrow who knows what will be?
