Maggie and Bat, an archived photo of the two little rascals showing their brotherly/sisterly love.

In 1982 we married. I wanted the long veil that Princess Diana wore on her wedding day in 1981 and this song for our wedding. I didn't get either one. I gave the John Lennon record to my dad to give the DJ, unfortunately: he left it on the back dash of the car and warped. Not a purrfect wedding, a lot of things went wrong that day. After all these years, we are still married.

 I finally got around to making a Christmas Tulle Tree, well not exactly, I made a Halloween Tulle Tree. Since I didn't have the supplies for the Christmas Tulle Tree I decided to make one for Halloween. There are many tutorials for Tulle Christmas Trees online and I decided on using THE HALLMARK CHANNEL - TULLE TREES tutorial.

I used a vintage metal pot I found at the Manse garage sale in Kemptville, a woodblock for the inside, drilled a hole for the tree trunk recycled from a paintbrush. To make the trunk straight I used coffee stir sticks jammed in the edges of the woodblock, no glue was needed except for the top of the tree to cover the top with tulle. The bat top is made of two bat stickers and of course, the sparkly tulle I used was from an old Halloween costume I cut up into 12 x 3 strips and decreased their length by an inch when I was halfway up the tree trunk. 

Maybe my next tree I will try making rosettes of varying sizes and see what that will look like. I do like this one with its very own little tree skirt. Too adorable!

Creme de Meow tastes so much better in vintage crystal. Bat and Maggie adore drinking out of these glasses. When the glasses come out, they know they are getting their special drink, Creme de Meow ( milk).

When you have two love cats like Bat and Maggie, 
it's very hard not to grab the camera / iPhone and shoot. M took a slew of photos and sent these along to me. I just had to share these sweethearts again, especially today.

Lestat: Ask the alligator. His blood helped. Then on the diet of the blood of snakes, toads, and all the putrid life of the Mississippi, slowly, Lestat became something like himself again. Claudia ... you've been a very, very naughty little girl.

PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME

PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME...Four baby squirrels, likely around 5 weeks old. We picked up all four, literally.....Remember Kathy Bates in Rat Race? lol Well, these came free.

They showed up in our neighbor's driveway, three sitting on the pavement next to the running board of the neighbor's truck and then the fourth one jumped down from the tree by the driveway and joined his siblings on the ground. Their mother apparently had gone missing a few days prior so the four little ones were left to fend for themselves. Dehydrated and hungry they followed us around and so we gave them the essentials, 1st water and then tiny bits of apple and broccoli. 

It wasn't long before we got the call we were waiting for. We were fortunate to find a home for them @ https://www.rideauwildlife.org Rideau Valley WildLife Sanctuary in North Gower. 


So happy they took these little babies in.

Oh, and we discovered two of the four are girls. So cute.


It seems we are in an area for rescuing animals but barely out in the countryside, imagine if we were lol .

P.S. To our cat friends, sorry we missed Caturday. Saturday was quite an eventful day.
