Annabelle: FLORENCE BLUME - A GHOST STORY { MERRICKVILLE } ♥️ Annabelle & M ♥️ © 2023 Writing this ghost story in collaboration with my daughter Emma Belanger 🐾🐾🐾🐾. 👀. A is for Annabelle A medieval city by the sea, Genova, a very long time ago, was my home. Then in 1964, my mother and I made a long journey across the Atlantic ocean to reunite with my dad in Canada. I was only 7 back then but, I never forgot what I left behind: the family I loved dearly and life by the beautiful sea. And, as I grew older, I realized just how much I brought back with me to Canada inside my heart. Between the mountains and the sea, Genova is where my heart will always be. A mother, a wife, and sometimes a Witch Mom; a friendly one that is: ) I was given the nickname by my son when he was in kindergarten, and upon returning home one Halloween, he mistakenly assumed the life-size witch that was sitting in my chair to be me, Mom?

He would wake up at night
And would have this fear
Of the dark, of life, of lots of things,
And he'd be glad to have me near.

And Now he's dead.
And there are nights when I think I feel him
Climb upon our bed and lie between us,
And I pat his head.

And there are nights when I think
I feel him stare
And I reach out my hand to stoke his hair,
But he's not there.

Oh, how I wish that wasn't so,
I'll always love a dog named Beau.

Bewitching Moon
Over the top of the mountains the moon
Rose unexpectedly
In the sky it drifted,
A bird, a fairy!
Blown out, round and sweet
Melon-like!
It danced in the sky
Impassioned
In the fragrant night,
Lighting every road,
Making my head swim,
My senses dazed.
Did I dream?
Did I really see you?
You fell into the well
Like the declining sun.
Moon, wink at me
Bright Moon, magic moon
The mirror of the loving girl,
Peep out at the balcony!
