Go to Sleep, Darlings...
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields
It covers them snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, Go to Sleep, Darlings, till the summer comes again.” Lewis Carroll
A strange and melancholic music I once heard long ago in some old movie had haunted me forever.
The name of the song was always a secret to me until this morning when Google posted an Interactive Animation Doodle for the 105th Birthday of Clara Rockmore, the Theremin performer.
Now I know the name of the music, the strange and alien but captivating sound made by the Theremin and the lovely player, Clara Rockmore (1911 - 1998 ), the first performer to "bring complete musical artistry to the theremin".
The song you hear on Google's animation is called "The Swan" from suit "The Carnival of Animals " by Saint -Saens.
Another musical piece by Saint-Saens I love very much is "Aquarium " from the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Now I need to go on a hunt and see if I can find the movie I first heard "The Swan" played on the Theremin.
If not for Google, I still would be in the dark. Happy chance I played the game this morning and got an early Birthday gift, my birthday is tomorrow. Thanks, Google!!!

AND SO I DID! I WROTE A LOVE LETTER TO THE MOON, not necessarily my letter but an old love letter from the past. I carefully wrapped the moon in the OLD LOVE LETTER and posted it to the Universe.

A Golden Crusty Bread Well, there is always a first time for everything and this is my first time at baking bread aside from one baked in a bread machine, but that doesn't count : ) On Tuesday we got our share of a Winter's Storm, a record 51.2 cm of snow and although I still had to venture out a couple of times during the day on the treacherous roads, I wasn't going to go further than I had to, even to buy my crusty loaf of bread for supper. I suppose it was the desire and craving for bread that somehow I fell onto some bread recipes while playing on Pinterest and I am so glad I did!
This Crusty Bread recipe originates from Hell's Kitchen in New York City. Jim Lahey, owner of Sullivan Street Bakery 533 West 47th Street in Manhatten has a simple bread making technique that results in a beautiful little golden loaf of crusty bread. The recipe and method are so simple, there wasn't much to think about except to gather the four ingredients into a bowl, bring out the special pot and wait.
I baked the bread in a 450 oven for the required time and I also added a homemade mixture of Herbes De Provence (McCormick ) & Sea Salt to the outside of the loaf before baking.
A simple Bread Recipe that anyone can bake and have amazing results. Jim 's recipe is a keeper and everyone should have it!

Applying original charcoal sketches
of the Moon, Hollyhocks and Acrylic Painting of the ghost cat, Micetto 'The
Mysterious Garden' crystallized into a magical fairish garden.
The White Garden at night
illuminates beneath a spiral moon and in their delight the flowers dance and intoxicate
the night air with beautiful perfume.
One can only escape into the
Mysterious Garden when the clock strikes Midnight and then strange and
wonderful things begin to happen under the canopy of starry night stars and
magical moon above.
