In the Mood for Spring ~ Paint Party Friday week #52

"The Stormy March has come at last
With wind, and cloud, and changing skies;"

The days seem longer now and in the days behind and to come, the skies are sunny and blue and the earth is now basked in warmth.

I believe that Spring, is not too far away!

For a change I thought it would nice to do a painting with colour . I found an old illustration of a clothe's line and decided I wanted to try my water colour pencils. By far , not a very good illustration although I did learn a few things in this exercise, like not applying too much water on the brush and using a tiny brush gave me more control. Will need to do more ; )

************ And of course I couldn't resist to sketch some more pictures for my little story.

Charcoal, which is great but too messy....lol, had to wash my hands and face quite a few times ; )

This one is a pencil sketch of which I'm in the process of recreating in paint on canvas board.
Still missing elements in this one and the one above.

Happy Paint Party Friday and Happy 1st Anniversary .
Thanks Kristin and Eva for creating this wonderful lovely site, enjoying it very much ; )

That is a busy week's work and I like your clothes line pic, it looks so spring like... watercolour pencils are frustrating and I love them some days and others they drive me to distraction... sure I just need to spend more time on them, but so glad you are getting on top of them...xx

Watercolor pencils are lots of fun, beautiful work!

And thanks for letting me know about my layout displaying oddly. It would seem it's affecting those using Chrome, that my static sidebar doesn't work... I've removed that feature, could you let me know if it works now? Thank you~

What a wonderful post! Gerber daisies are my absolute favorite!!! I love the clothesline - spring fresh! Your charcoal illustration is great :)
(I love the way charcoal looks, but the way it feels on my fingers drives me batty so I never use it!)
